Self-Animation
When I was learning animation after my formal training as an illustrator at Pratt Institute I decided to create this self-animation project. I challenged myself to make a self portrait type of animation. And I enjoyed the process.
Self-Animation – End Result
Here is the final product. Working with animation paper on an animation disk with actual pencils cannot be replaced by computers. The feeling of traditional media for animation is unmatched by anything digital.
Since this was to be a self portrait I placed a mirror next to me and pretended to work on my very amazing (at the time) PowerPC 6100 AV. Yep, a whooping 500 MB hard drive! Oh, how time has passed.
